Description

ABSTRACT

The success factors in prosthetic rehabilitation are numerous. The course will explore the selection of the ideal preparation, provisional management and final impression using the established analog protocols and the most modern digital or the hybrid approaches.Modern prosthetic rehabilitation design leverages the overlapping of multiple three-dimensional patient data to design a new smile for both teeth and implants. This results in minimally invasive dental preparations and prosthetically guided implants that respect hard and soft tissue. Intra- and extraoral scanners, virtual wax-ups, high-resolution CBCT, and innovative guided surgery software ensure increasingly personalized approaches to each individual treatment plan.A series of step-bystep clinical cases will be illustrated over the three days, covering both clinical and laboratory aspects.

PURPOSE:

The course will explore the phases of design, surgical execution, and prosthetic rehabilitation using both the most established analog protocols and the most modern digital workflows. Acquire the fundamentals for designing a new smile, both on teeth and implants, using modern digital data collection to perform minimally invasive dental preparations and prosthetically guided implant rehabilitations, while respecting hard and soft tissues.

PROGRAM

DAY 1:

  • Case study: preview and design of the prosthetic case.
  • Dental preparations: comparison and indications for horizontal and vertical preparations.
  • Temporary restorations: design, relining and finishing of provisionals.
  • How to achieve esthetics on vertical preparations (BOPT approach).
  • Live demonstration: tooth preparation and provisional relining.

DAY 2:

  • Traditional and digital impression techniques: indications and limitations of Intra Oral Scanners.
  • Soft tissue management around teeth and implants.
  • Intermaxillary relationship recording: from habitual occlusion to Deprogrammed Passively Retruded Position.
  • Static and dynamic facebows and digital mandibular trackers.
  • Choosing restorative materials: from metal-ceramic to metal-free.
  • Live demonstration: final impression in fixed prosthodontics.
  • Hands-on: provisionals relining and finishing.

DAY 3:

  • Implant-Prosthetics Rehabilitations.
  • Prosthetically guided implantology.
  • Emergence profiles and implant connections.
  • Analog, hybrid or full digital strategies.
  • Prosthetic rehabilitation between analogical foundations and digital innovations: step-by-step clinical cases.
  • Live demonstration: digital and analog face bow, inter maxillary record
  • Hands-on: deprogramming jig and Intra Oral Scan.
